To realise a textiles circular economy, it's crucial that consumers feel enthusiastic and visualise themselves as active participants. The Consumer Experience research strand of the Textile Circularity Centre transported visitors to the near future of retail through a multisensory virtual reality immersive experience, including a novel scent-delivery system by Hynt Labs (Previously OW Smell Made Digital.)
The Farfalla journey is designed to help people imagine how we can all contribute to textile circularity. Visitors indulged in a world where their senses guided them in experiencing the sights, sounds, and scents of familiar materials and innovative, bio-based textiles. They also created and repaired garments using the latest 3D printing technology to feel connected to a larger community.
